Stayed at a charming B&B surrounded by lush gardens and a tempting pool. Fish eagles serenaded me while I enjoyed the sauna, golf, fishing, and spa. Free WiFi and concierge services were just icing on the cake.
Oh, how I despised being in such a tranquil and idyllic setting. Absolutely dreadful!

The beautiful surroundings and warm atmosphere made it a great place for our family to relax and enjoy some quality time together. The location was perfect for exploring the stunning hiking trails in the area, with breathtaking views and plenty of natural beauty to discover. We also had a fantastic time fishing at the nearby dam, creating memories that will last a lifetime. And for the little ones, there were bicycles available to rent, allowing them to explore the area and have some outdoor fun.
In my wife's opinion, a small playground or play area for the children would have been a nice addition to keep them entertained.

Our family had an amazing time exploring the beautiful surroundings of Hazyview during our stay at Idle & Wild. We embarked on exciting hiking trails, discovering hidden natural wonders at every turn. The fishing experience was fantastic, with ample opportunities to cast our lines and catch some unforgettable memories. Cycling through the area was a joy, with scenic routes offering breathtaking views and a chance to bond as a family.
My children wanted more outdoor activities suitable for their age.

The garden was absolutely stunning, filled with beautiful flowers and birds. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely whirlpool bath. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable, giving us great advice on where to go during our stay. The location was perfect, as it was close to both Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route. We also enjoyed the access to the sauna and swimming pool in the garden, a true oasis of relaxation.
We experienced a power outage in our room, which took some time to resolve. As a result, the fridge was not cold and leaked water and sour milk.

The room was cozy and comfortable, with premium bedding and air conditioning. I felt relaxed and at ease during my stay. The fully equipped kitchenette was a great bonus, allowing us to prepare our own meals and save money on dining out. The private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer was convenient and had everything we needed. The chalet had a nice tile/marble floor, adding a touch of elegance to the space. The private entrance in the twin room gave us a sense of privacy and freedom.
Personally, I found the minibar in the room to be unnecessary, but I understand that others may enjoy having this option available.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and everything was prepared for our group of 18. the breakfast packs they provided for our safari trip were delicious, and the tranquil setting of the beautiful garden made for a truly relaxing stay. the rooms were spacious, neat, and comfortable, and we especially loved waking up to the sun streaming through the palm trees in the tropical garden. Connie and her son, along with their three friendly dogs, made us feel like part of their big happy family. Customer service was exceptional, and we were even upgraded to the honeymoon suite. it was a wonderful experience.
Nothing negative to say. 😊.

The only small improvement that could be made is providing more breakfast options.

My African adventure at Idle & Wild was truly unforgettable. From the moment I stepped into my spacious rondavel, I felt like I was in my own little piece of paradise. The attention to detail in the room, from the premium bedding to the thoughtful amenities, made me feel like royalty. But what really stole the show was the fully equipped kitchenette. It had everything I needed to channel my inner chef and whip up some delicious meals - I felt like I was on my own version of MasterChef!

The general areas, such as the lounge and garden, were beautifully maintained and provided a peaceful setting for relaxation. As a senior woman, I really appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The staff were always available to assist and ensure that my needs were met, making my stay hassle-free and enjoyable.
I would have loved for there to be more activities specifically tailored for senior people.
